The St. Clare Church Youth Group will have a “FUNDrive” from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the St. Clare Church parking lot, 1411 Cross St., O’Fallon. The community is invited to donate gently used clothing and household items at the event. No advance drop offs will be taken. Acceptable donations include clothing, shoes, accessories, linens, books and small household items. All goods collected will be sold to Savers, the parent company of Value Village, Unique and Savers. The drive’s goal is to raise $2,000 to support the youth group’s attendance at the National Catholic Youth Conference this fall.
Rally Day at Our Lord’s Lutheran church
Our Lord’s Lutheran Church at 150 Wilma Drive, Maryville, will have a special Rally Day event Sunday, Sept. 10. The church will have the blessing of 3-year-olds, Sunday school and confirmation students, installation of education staff, and 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services. Wishing Well Ministry seeks donations
From noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, the Tom Quall’s Foundation and Wishing Well Ministry will have: “Hero’s Way — Angel and Flag Stands” at the James Michael Qualls Memorial Garden and the Chapel of Jesus Christ, 204 John St., Collinsville. The Rev. Tom Qualls Sr. said, “We salute all of our heroes. Some gave some — some gave all.” The ministry is also seeking donations of dog and cat food, fans, ice, tarps and monetary donations for local animals in need. Information: 618-722-0348.
