She wanted $400,000 a month, but an Illinois judge ruled Wednesday that the ex-wife of the man who founded Cancer Treatment Centers of America will get only $27,000 in monthly maintenance.
A McHenry County judge ruled Wednesday that Alicia Stephenson will get the $27,000 in monthly payments after taxes from her ex-husband Richard Stephenson. He will also pay her a lump sum of about $6.5 million. She will also get to keep a Porsche, jewelry, two motorcycles and a 401(k) fund.
Richard Stephenson wanted to pay his ex-wife $18,500 a month in maintenance.
The Stephensons married more than 25 years ago; their divorce was final last year but the finances were decided Wednesday by the judge.
Richard Stephenson founded the treatment centers in 1988, according to the company’s website.
