Chicken wing chain Wing Stop has opened its first metro-east restaurant in Granite City and plans to open another soon in Edwardsville.
The Granite City restaurant recently opened its doors at 3405 Nameoki Road, and general manager Migael Randall said he is opening a second location next month at 2100 Troy Road, Suite 103, in Edwardsville.
The restaurant chain has been serving up buffalo-style chicken wings and more since 1994 and has expanded to more than 500 restaurants in 30 states.
The McDonald's in East St. Louis has been remodeled and reopened. Owner and East St. Louis-native Jimmy Williams has revitalized the restaurant at 588 N. 24th St. Williams owns a number of McDonald's restaurants on both sides of the river.
The folks from Wang Gang Asian Restaurant in Edwardsville say they have plans to introduce a "new kind of Asian fusion" to the metro-east. The restaurateurs are developing a new place at 1027 Century Drive in Edwardsville to be known as Unkle Munkey's Coin Club. The establishment will include food, a bar and also an arcade. David Wittenauer, Vice President of NAI Desco in O'Fallon, reports that First Clover Leaf Bank has purchased the former Commerce Bank building at 4101 N. Illinois St. in Swansea. Wittenauer and Peter Sheahan represented Commerce Bank, and Gerry Schuetzenhofer, of Coldwell Banker Brown Realtors, represented First Clover Leaf Bank in the transaction.
