Metro-east mosquitoes test positive for West Nile Virus

The East Side Health District reported Friday that mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile Virus.

The agency periodically tests for the virus as part of its summer surveillance program. East Side urges residents to take precautions, including reducing exposure to the outdoors, especially in the evening, wearing long sleeves and long pants, and using an insect repellent.
