Take your umbrella when you head out the door

After a dry July, area residents have a good chance to catch up on rainfall this week.

Partly sunny skies are expected early Wednesday with a high of 87.

Thunderstorms are likely to move in during the afternoon and they'll hang around through the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

A 20 percent chance of storms is forecast after 3 p.m. By 7 p.m. the likelihood will increase to 60 percent. The overnight low should be 68.

A 60 percent chance of storms is forecast for Thursday with a high of 84. The chance of rain will drop to 50 percent in the evening with a low of 69.

There is a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms Friday with a high of 86 and a low of 69.
