The beautiful weather that metro-east residents have enjoyed this week will hang around for the next couple of days.
But it appears that it will take the weekend off.
Sunny skies and a high temperature of 85 are in the forecast for the metro-east Thursday. It will be mostly clear Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service, with a low of 61 degrees.
On Friday skies are expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 86. Overnight the low will be 68 as clouds move into the area.
There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Saturday during the daytime hours when the high will be 87. On Saturday night, the chance of thunderstorms will increase to 50 percent with a low of 71.
On Sunday, a 50 percent chance of storms during the daytime hours and a high of 87 are expected. The chance of storms will decrease slightly to 40 percent Sunday evening when the low will be 70.
