Rally for Michael Brown set for Friday in Belleville

Signs have been going up throughout Belleville advertising a peaceful rally requesting justice for Michael Brown, the unarmed teen fatally shot by police in Ferguson, Mo.

Signs state the rally will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday in front of the St. Clair County Building in downtown Belleville.

No organizer is listed on the signs.

Local police departments are preparing for the rally.

"We don't have any idea if it's going to be a large or small crowd," said Capt. Scott Weymouth, spokesman for the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department. "We will be on standby. We are just going to see what the turnout is going to be."
