In need of some extra cash for the holiday season? You’re in luck.
Amazon is opening up thousands of jobs for the holiday season to bulk up their staff for the busy shopping time.
The giant company, which is looking for a new city to open a second headquarters in, will have jobs available in St. Louis and Edwardsville, along with many other cities across the U.S. Open jobs include packing and shipping, helping to make sure packages get out on time.
Amazon’s call for proposals for a new headquarters has attracted bids from cities like Edwardsville, Pontoon Beach, Collinsville, St. Louis, Chicago and Kansas City. But each metropolitan area can only submit one bid.
The company put out a nation-wide call for proposals recently, attracting bids from St. Clair County, St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago and a slew of other cities. The headquarters, called HQ2, could bring up to 50,000 jobs, said Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.
