An overturned tractor-trailer closed northbound lanes of an interstate Tuesday morning in Franklin County.
Interstate 57 was blocked for about two hours after the initial crash around 5:18 a.m., according to Illinois State Police Trooper Joshua Haile.
The driver reported mechanical issues that caused the vehicle to travel into the center median, Haile said. The semi struck the ditch in the center median and overturned on the driver's side. The semi-trailer also overturned.
No injuries were reported in the crash, which occurred about three miles north of Johnston City, Haile said. The trooper added that northbound traffic was being diverted onto exit 59.

The semi was cleared from the scene by 8:31 a.m., according to a WSIL report.
