The victim is a 35-year-old male who police say is from the local area, but gave no additional information about his identity. He remained in critical condition in a St. Louis-area hospital as of Sunday morning, according to police.
Police received a call about 11:50 p.m. Friday regarding a pedestrian down in the roadway in the 1400 block of North Greenmount Road.

Police asked that anyone with information contact the O’Fallon Police Department at 624-4545.
The investigation was continuing Sunday.
“Detectives are sifting through video, trying to put together a timeline,” Cavins said Sunday morning.
