A week after temperatures neared record highs, it will be much cooler than usual in the metro-east.
The high Friday will be 73, according to the National Weather Service. That’s nine degrees cooler than the average high temperature of 82 for Sept. 11 in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
It was rainy early Friday but wet weather is expected to clear up by midday.
Skies will become mostly clear Friday night when the low will be 52.
On Saturday, there is a 20 percent chance of an isolated shower during the morning hours. The high will top out at 66.
Saturday night, skies will be mostly clear with a 20 percent chance of showers popping up and a low of 48.
Skies will be sunny with a high of 71 Sunday. Overnight, skies will be clear with a low of 51.
