Record temperatures are expected Tuesday across the metro-east.
The high will be 66, according to the National Weather Service. That’s six degrees warmer than the previous record for the day, 60, which was set in 2003.
Rain will accompany the warm weather with an 80 percent chance of showers and, possibly, a thunderstorm. Winds will gust at up to 31 mph.
The best chance of rain will come before 2 p.m.
Skies will become partly cloudy Tuesday night with a low of 37.
It will be much cooler Wednesday with a high of 40, which matches the average high for the first week of February in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Skies will be cloudy and winds will gust up to 25 mph.
It will be mostly cloudy with a low of 24 Wednesday night.
On Thursday, skies will be sunny with a high of 41. The low will be 23 Thursday night with mostly cloudy skies.
