Sunny skies and temperatures well above normal are expected for the next several days across the metro-east.
The high Thursday is expected to reach 59 Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. That’s about 13 degrees warmer than the average high temperature of 46 for Feb. 18 in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
Wind will be a factor all day with breezes up to 14 mph early in the day and gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday night, skies will be clear with a low of 50. Typically, the low this time of year is about 27.
On Friday, the high is expected to reach 72 under mostly sunny skies. That temperature would match the all-time high for the date, 72, which was set in 1991. Again, it will be breezy with gusts up to 36 mph.
Friday night it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 45.
The weekend forecast calls for a high of 69 Saturday with mostly sunny skies.
Saturday night, there is a 60 percent chance for a thunderstorm with a low of 48.
On Sunday, there is a 20 percent chance for a shower with a high of 63.
It will be partly cloudy Sunday night with a low of 37.
