McClintock Avenue, from South McKinley Drive to Mandalay Drive in Belleville, is scheduled to be closed for four days as part of a St. Clair County Transit District pedestrian bridge project.
Weather permitting, the St. Clair County Transit District plans to have crews install bridge piles for the new MetroBikeLink pedestrian bridge that is being built over McClintock Avenue, the transit district said.
McClintock Avenue is scheduled to be closed from 7:30 a.m. Tuesday through the end of the day Friday.
The overall project involves relocating the on-road portion of the St. Clair County MetroBikeLink trail onto the MetroLink right-of-way from Carlyle Avenue to the east end of South McKinley Drive, the transit district said.
Never miss a local story.
The project includes having bridges over Carlyle Avenue and McClintock Avenue and a ramp to provide access to the trail from McClintock Avenue, the transit district said. The project is expected to be completed by fall 2017.
