    The Illinois Society of the War of 1812 held a ceremony on Oct. 23 at Vincent Cemetery in rural Madison Country, near Alhambra, Illinois, to honor Andrew Keown, a veteran of the Battle of New Orleans. He survived the battle in 1815, came home and lived until age 86.
