The sixth annual Greenville Graffiti Car Show on Saturday, June 17 will offer visitors a chance to see classic cars and trucks along with some Hollywood favorites.
Signing autographs are Barry Williams, who played Greg Brady on the iconic sitcom “The Brady Bunch” as well as guest appearances on numerous other classic shows; Eddie Deezen from the movies “Grease, Grease 2,” “War Games,” “1941,” and “Polar Express;” and Tyler Dale from the television show “American Restoration.” The trio will be greeting fans on the east side of the courthouse grounds. Greenville Mayor Alan Gaffner will honor the celebs during a brief ceremony at noon.
Registration for the car show is from 9 a.m. until noon with awards presented at 3 p.m. Judging is open to cars and trucks from 1992 and older. Plaques will be awarded to the top 50 overall and the top 10 pre-1949 street rods selected by the judges. A new category for recognition this year is Most Creative Rat Rod. Also new this year is a $100 cash prize to the top overall car, based on judges’ points. A special 50th Anniversary Award will be presented to the top Camaro, Cougar, and Firebird. The entry fee is $15 for judging or $7 for display only. The first 150 registered will receive complimentary dash plaques. Motorcycles are welcome for display. The classic vehicles will be parked along 2nd Street from the First United Methodist Church to Beaumont Avenue and on side streets. Last year’s event attracted over 230 entries.
Spider-Man will meet kids from 10:30 until noon. Youngsters can also enjoy an inflatable obstacle course for free. Food booths will be operating from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. near the intersection of Second Street and Summer Avenue.

A craft and vendor show, sponsored by the Circle of Friends team and benefiting the Lemuel Rhodes Cancer Foundation, will be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the Second Street municipal parking lot. Around fifty dealers are participating.
Barry Williams and Eddie Deezen will also be featured in the annual pre-car show event, Friday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church gym, 512 S. Prairie St. in Greenville. The evening includes a question/answer session with each star. Light refreshments will be available. The celebrities will also be signing autographs. Tickets for this program are $15 for adults and $7.50 for kids 12 and under. Tickets are available at Watson’s Drug Store, Bradford National Bank, and The First National Bank in Greenville.
