The city of Highland will hold a public informational meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to Oak Street. The meeting will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at City Hall, 1115 Broadway.
City staff and the city’s consulting engineering firm will be available to discuss the proposed project. The project has unique design challenges, and planners are asking for public input.
The meeting will be informal, and interested citizens may comment on the proposed design features. Written statements can be submitted at the time of the meeting. Statements can be mailed for a period of 15 days following the meeting to: Department of Public Works, P.O. Box 218, Highland, IL 62249, Attn: Joe Gillespie, Director of Public Works.
Photographs, drawings, and other information pertinent to the location and design of the proposed improvement will be available at the meeting.
