St. Gertrude Catholic Church
On Wednesday, April 27, there will be a Mass and May Crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Immaculate Conception at 6:30 p.m. to close the PSR school year. This will be followed by an ice cream social for everyone.
St. Gertrude is preparing for its annual chicken dinner, which will be held on Sunday, June 5. Volunteers are needed and asked to sign up to clean the church before the dinner, on Tuesday, May 31 at 6 p.m., and after the dinner, on Monday June 6.
The Catholic Holy Family Society will again have the Country Store at the St. Gertrude Chicken Dinner. Organizers are asking for donations of baked and food items, crafts, homemade jellies and canned goods also go over well. Grantfork Elementary School
This week, students had an assembly and video to help them recognize stranger danger, internet safety. They were instructed in telling if an adult is a safe side adult, kinda know adult or don’t know adult.
A reminder that Highland School District has a dress code. Shorts and skirts should be mid-thigh, and no halters or spaghetti strap tops will be allowed.
Fifth-grade baby pictures are due by April 15.
The next PTO meeting will be at Grantfork at 6:30 p.m. on April 19.
Students will attend an Energy Assembly on Wednesday, April 20 and included will be an Ag Day Presentation. On April 22 there will be the Earth Day field trip to Carlyle Lake.
Sunday school and Confirmation will be on Sunday, April 17 at 9 a.m., worship at 10:15, and the pastoral relations coffee hour will be at 11:15.
The Church Council meeting will be held on April 19 at 7:15 p.m., and yoga will be at 7 p.m.
On April 20, there will be choir practice, and on the 21st, there will be Alhambra Care worship at 10 a.m.
