The O’Fallon Township High School girls bowling team won the Bel-Air Bowl Regional in Belleville on Saturday. The Lady Panthers’ Lauren Tomaszewksi was also the top individual bowler in the tournament.
OTHS scored a phenomenal 6,294 pins in six games, 471 pins better than second-place Collinsville.
“We were able to stay fairly consistent throughout the day only, having one game below 1,000,” said OTHS coach Garrett Spencer. “We came across a tough pair of lanes in the third and shot a 939, but followed that with 1,071, 1,114 and 1,042.”
Tomaszewksi shot 1,346 for the day with a high game of 265 en route to her individual championship. Tomaszewksi also rolled games of 206, 224, 223, 236 and 192.

“Lauren has consistently bowled awesome in every tournament this season,” Spencer said.
Abby Gray, of Belleville East, came in second individually with six games totaling 1,340 pins.
Natalie Heltne, of O’Fallon, was third with 1,296 pins.
“Natalie Heltne also helped get us off to a great start, shooting 696 for her first set and placing third overall,” Spencer said.
Heltne rolled games of 228, 234, 234, 199, 212 and 189.
Also for OTHS, Hayleigh Williams had games of 237, 190, 149, 201 and 267; Mary Orf had games of 209, 237, 159, 227, 202 and 191; Grace Braswell had games of 191, 174, 229, 234 and 203; and Madison Thorton had games of 172 and 180.
“The girls are bowling well right now, and we hope to keep the streak alive the next two weeks,” Spencer said.
O’Fallon advances to sectional play on Saturday at NuBowl in Mount Vernon. In addition to O’Fallon, other teams also advancing out of the Bel-Air Bowl Regional were Collinsville, Belleville East and Columbia.
