The Southwestern Conference recently announced their All-Conference rosters, identifying the top performers during league play this spring.
O’Fallon Township High School athletes were prominent on the list of the league’s best with Panther baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball teams securing an impressive 20 All-SWC roster spots.
After roaring to a 33-6 overall record and winning the regular season conference championship, the OTHS baseball squad collected the most awards. Seven players earned All-SWC honors.

Heading the group was standout senior Bradley Harrison, who was a double winner. Harrison earned first team All-Conference designation as a pitcher and also as
an outfielder, reflecting his domination on the mound as well as his potent bat in the middle of the OTHS batting order and his stellar play in the field.
Three additional O’Fallon seniors joined Harrison as top performers at their positions.
First team honors were collected by outfielder Dillon Weiss, who set the table for the high-powered OTHS offense from the lead-off spot, first baseman Bradley Snyder, one of O’Fallon’s
top RBI batters, and shortstop Camden Bauer, who anchored the OTHS interior defense and was a major offensive contributor.
Three underclassmen were also named to the All-SWC elite roster, providing a solidnucleus of talent for the 2017 Panther baseball roster. The players, all 3rd team All-SWC picks,
were Joe Guithes (junior – designated hitter), Jared Dalonzo (sophomore – third base) and Josh Gibson (freshman – second base).
In the highly competitive SWC softball circuit, the Lady Panthers earned four rosterspots.
Topping the charts were two super seniors, who provided the backbone of the 21-8 season. Carrying much of the same load as Harrison for the Panther baseball team,s enior Addison Barnouski was the top vote-getter among conference coaches.
The Panthers’number one pitcher for most of her four varsity campaigns, Barnouski capped her career as a first team All-SWC pick.
First baseman Allison Underwood was tabbed as O’Fallon’s other first team honoree. Underwood finished the season as one of the Panthers’ leading hitters and run producers.
The remaining two All-SWC softball roster spots were earned by senior Cassie Brown – a second team player – and sophomore standout Courtney Keller was named as a third team player.
Finishing their 2016 campaign with an outstanding 26-9- 3 mark and a Southwestern Conference championship trophy, the OTHS boys’ volleyball team collected six All-SWC roster spots. Reflecting the balance that characterized the OTHS attack, the Panthers secured three first team awards.
Senior front line scorer Michael Hovick and junior Luke Meidel paced the Panther attack while junior defensive specialist Ryan Nelson anchored the OTHS offense.
Senior Lucas Hackmann was recognized for his exceptional all around play with a second team All-SWC designation. Two OTHS spikers rounded out the group of top conference players with third team roster spots – senior Jon Worthing and junior Gabe Norsigian.
Despite and up and down season, the OTHS girls’ soccer squad had two All-SWC selections. Both O’Fallon booters were named as second team players. Both all
conference players were sophomores, indicating a brighter future for the girls’ soccer program. The two second team picks were Sam Stutsman and Tamia Cash.
