Team members 1st Lt. Kelsey Cullinan, Capt. Kenneth Natelli, 1st Lt. Alex Beveridge, Master Sgt. Travis Welborn, Maj. Ray Mamuad, and Maj. Sean Blas, 375th Operational Support Squadron tactics and intelligence section, are this week’s “Showcase on ICE.” In an effort to continually improve and innovate the way the squadron trains its aircrews, the Intelligence and Tactics section of the 375th OSS developed a new scenario-based training program. The training hits all AFI requirements by walking the students through a pre-mission briefing, two missions, and a debriefing section. During the course, crews encounter real-world threat scenarios, which allow the instructors to teach weapon system knowledge as one unit of instruction. In one block of instruction crews get credit for: Aircrew Intelligence Integration, Tactics Training, and Communication Procedures. This eliminated the need to schedule three separate requirements, and training can now be accomplished in an hour versus the previously required three hours.
