Brandon Katka, 375th Contracting Squadron contract specialist, is this week’s “Showcase on ICE.” Katka implemented, trained, and coached squadron personnel on use of Microsoft OneNote to track contacts through their entire lifecycle ahead of fiscal year closeout, ensuring timely contract deliveries. Katka also created comprehensive contract checklists which have streamlined building contract files electronically, increasing contract specialist efficiency by an average of 25-35 percent. Overall, Katka manages 30 services and commodities contracts with a total portfolio value of $2.8 million. Additionally, management selected Katka as the primary continuous process improvement representative for the unit. Finally, Katka was recognized as the 375th CS Civilian of the Quarter in 2016.
