Millstadt police searching for car burglary suspect

Police are looking for a suspect wanted for a string of vehicle burglaries in Millstadt.

On Sunday police took three reports of cars being forcibly entered. Two of the vehicles were on the elementary school near the bus garage while the other car was on the parking lot of Millstadt's public swimming pool.

The burglaries are believed to have happened between 4:00 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.

Police said a witness told the victim of one of the burglaries that he saw a black male in a white car with Florida license plates take something out of a car.

Police did not say what was stolen from the vehicles.

Anyone with information should contact the police department at 476-7250. But they reminded residents if they see suspicious activity in progress, please dial 9-1-1, instead of the non-emergency number.
