Three men charged with stealing thousands of gallons of used grease

Three men have been charged in St. Clair County with stealing thousands of gallons of used grease.

Bo Lin, 32, of Fairview Heights; Tuo Li, 25, of Chicago; and Kentvy Wong, 30, of Flushing, New York, face charges of felony theft and a misdemeanor charge of not having a permit for a waste storage operation.

The three were arrested July 16 in a barn that contained about 10,000 gallons of used grease and cooking oil.

The men were allegedly stealing the grease from outside restaurants and then selling it to biodiesel plants for $3 a gallon.
