O’Fallon police announced Thursday they had arrest warrants for 29-year-old Ernest T. Washington in connection with a domestic battery incident that was first reported as a home invasion in the 100 block of Alice Drive Wednesday.
According to an announcement, Washington has no known address but has ties to the O’Fallon, Belleville and Clinton County areas. He’s 6-foot-2, weighs 220 pounds and should be considered extremely dangerous, police said.
On Wednesday, O’Fallon Police Lt. James Cavins said police were searching for a man “for a home invasion-type incident” that occurred at 12:42 p.m. at the Alice Drive address but gave no further details. The Thursday release stated the warrants for Washington were for aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery - subsequent offense.
Washington is on intensive probation stemming from a 2013 domestic battery conviction.
Cavins could not be reached for comment Thursday night. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact O’Fallon police at 618-624-4545 or their local police.
