The East Alton man who federal agents found had several dozen video files containing child pornography on his computer was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison.
Shaun C. Meyer, 33, also will be on supervised release for five years following his prison term and must pay $6,000 in restitution.
Court records show that U.S. Secret Service agents identified an IP address linked to Meyer that offered to participate in peer-to-peer trading of video files online. The agents downloaded three videos from the IP address that showed adult men engaging in sex acts with prepucescent and infant females.
Agents later executed a search warrant at Meyer’s home and found 171 video files containing child pornography on his computer.
