Multiple shootings were reported in the metro-east overnight, including one in Dupo and another in East St. Louis.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office was investigating one shooting that was reported at the 700 block of McBride Avenue in Dupo late Monday night. The shooting left two with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Investigator Scott Toth. Authorities said two were in custody at the county jail in connection to the shooting. Their names were not released pending formal charges.
Toth said deputies responded to a call about a shooting at about 9:40 p.m. Monday, and they found two male victims. Toth said one was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the foot.
“The investigation continues on what actually happened, but at this time, it is believed to be a family dispute,” Toth said in a written statement.
