Electricians temporarily fixed an issue with the main electrical panel at O'Fallon Township High School on Wednesday, according to school officials.
O'Fallon District 203 Superintendent Darcy Benway said one component of the electrical panel failed Tuesday and caused a partial power outage, which resulted in early dismissal of school and cancellation of the school's open house Tuesday night.
Benway said that over the weekend, some parts will be replaced in the electrical panel, which she said will eventually need to be replaced.
The open house will not be rescheduled. However, Benway said teachers will update their pages on the district web site -- http://www.oths.k12.il.us -- and parents are welcome to contact teachers directly.
