Distinguished Service Awards presented by Belleville Jaycees

The Belleville Jaycees presented its Distinguished Service, Outstanding Young Educator and Outstanding Citizen awards Thursday night at its 73rd Annual Distinguished Service Awards banquet at Bellecourt Place.
The award recipients include:
Distinguished Service Award, Angela Barnes, executive director of Bethany Place.
Outstanding Young Educator Award: Kelly Darr, teacher at St. Augustine of Canterbury School
Outstanding Citizen Award: David Donley, U.S. Air Force retiree and former Parks College professor
The Distinguished Service Award honors someone who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and personal progress within the community. The Outstanding Young Educator Award recognizes a teacher who has shown professional excellence and leadership among young educators. The Outstanding Citizen Award recipient must be someone who has made personal, business, professional and civic contributions to the community.
The ceremony also featured guest speaker Chuck Byers, a Belleville Main Street Association director.
