Inside jobs: Metro-east business news

McKendree University in Lebanon has announced the following:

* Alan Boerngen of Carlyle has joined the staff as an assessment coordinator in the office of research, planning and technology.

* Shawn Connelly of Troy has been hired as operations coordinator, responsible for special event management and van management.

* Adam Reed of Waterloo joined the information technology staff as a network administrator.

Jacob W. Reby was elected a regent of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. He currently serves as Missouri State chair of ACMA. He is Chairman of the Real Estate Group at Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, L.C.

Kevin Harris of ReMax Preferred-O'Fallon has earned the Certified distressed Property Expert designation, having completed training in foreclosure avoidance and short sales.

Lisa M. Krebs is the new owner of Shear Illusions Salon in Belleville. She is a native of Belleville and recently relocated to the area. She is a graduate of Artistic College in Virginia.

Nancy Milton of Glen Carbon and Kristina Pratt of Bunker Hill have joined the sales team at ReMax Preferred Partners of Edwardsville.

Patrick Denny of O'Fallon recently received his Illinois real estate license. He works for Judy Dempcy Homes.

Edward J. Blake Jr., of Blake & Allen, P.C., attorneys, has been selected to become a member of Leading Lawyers.

Kevin Kubitschek, a Belleville attorney, has opened a second law office at 410 South Saint Louis Street in Sparta. He concentrates in personal injury, family law and estate administration.

Jamie Vost has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager at Novanis IT Solutions in Springfield. He has been with the company since 1987 and will be responsible for strategic direction and the day-to-day operations of the company.

Harold Melser of Columbia has been named director of the Ministry Advancement division at Lutheran Hour Ministries. He will oversee all aspects of ministry fundraising operations, including strategic planning, gift and estate planning, corporate communications, annual support, data entry and telecare.

Dr. Jill Luther is a new chiropractor and acupuncturist starting practice in O'Fallon. She is joining the team at Chiro-Med on Green Mount Road.

In addition to seeing patients in the office, she also is available for health awareness workshops or lectures.

Villie M. Appoo has been selected as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois by the GSSI Board of Directors. The GSSI have merged the Girl Scouts of River Bluffs Council and the Girl Scouts of Shagbark Council into one council serving approximately 16,000 girls in 40 counties throughout southern Illinois.

Also, Rebecca Clark of Glen Carbon has been selected to serve as the Board Chair for the Board of Directors. She will lead a group of volunteers in assisting the GSSI in policy making, strategic planning and governance.

Gail Brueggeman of Fairview Heights is a team manager with Tastefully Simple, Inc., a national direct seller of gourmet foods.

Attorney Luke A. Behme has joined the Edwardsville law office of Sivia Business & Legal Services, P.C. as an associate. He has experience in business law, family law, agricultural law, Social Security Disability representation and general civil litigation.

Dr. Dykemann, a chiropractic physician practicing in East Alton, attended the 2009 Chicago National Convention and Expo of the Illinois Chiropractic Society.
