Part of Madison Avenue in Roxana will close Friday

Beginning Friday, Madison Avenue at Illinois 111 in Roxana will be closed through the weekend.

The road will close at 5:30 p.m. Friday and is expected to remain closed until 6 p.m. Monday, weather permitting.

The road closure is necessary to reconstruct an approach lane on westbound Madison Avenue at Illinois 111 and make other necessary signal improvements at that intersection, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.
