Free H1N1 vaccines Thursday in East St. Louis

Free H1N1 vaccines for people who qualify will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today at the East Side Health District in East St. Louis.

To get the vaccine, you must:

* Live with or provide routine care for infants younger than six months;

* Provide health care or emergency medical services;

* Be six months to 24 years old;

* Be 25 to 64 years old with medical conditions that put you at higher risk for influenza-related complications such as cancer, blood disorders, chronic lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disorders or liver disorders.

The H1N1 Vaccine Clinic will be held at 638 N. 20th St.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Pregnant women should get the vaccine from their medical provider.
