With the Martin Luther King Bridge closed for lane work, how has your commute been going?
Please e-mail us your story to online@bnd.com. We want to know what other bridges you're using, if you're opting for MetroLink, if you're working at odd times to avoid rush hour, and so on.
Please include a name and phone number if we need more information for a story about the impact of the bridge closing.
Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois State Police officials began closing the bridge at 9 a.m. Monday. It is slated to remain closed for 12 days while crews install a 32-inch-high dividing barrier and reduce the current four lanes to one westbound lane and two eastbound lanes.
The improvements aim to prevent the cross-over collisions, like those that have killed 14 people in the past decade.
