Bigger government always a bad thing

Once again I see an article in your paper about the Veterans Affairs care crisis. Neither the Belleville News-Democrat nor any national media have commented on the idea that this problem at the VA has bigger implications. If the government does this to our veterans, it will be far worse for those using Obamacare. Obamacare will be looking to controls costs.

Could it be that our government, which has never ran a successful department in recent memory (by that I mean one that does not have billions in cost overruns) will actually get this one right? I doubt it.

We need to honor those who served our country. If we treat them like that, then woe be unto the common man when it's time for his health care.

Bigger government is always a bad thing. When did we cede to them the right for us to choose who will treat our medical problems? We did not. Our elected officials in Washington did it for us.

Perhaps it is time to set term limits for all politicians. Tell them to serve the people, then come home and work for a living like the rest of us.

Government needs to stay out of the medical care business; it obviously can't do it right. Wake up, folks; we should not wait until the news media tells us we have a huge problem headed our way. This crisis should be a big call to action.
