Let military justice handle Bergdahl

Enough is enough. I am 17 years old and will have to sign up with the Selective Service in the next couple of months. Issues like the desertion of Bowe Bergdahl from his post really bug me.

So here is what I think. Media, stay out of the picture. The whole 5-for-1 trade is over. Bergdahl is part of the military organization. Let the military take care of their own people and problems.

The media of all kinds, whether it be TV, magazines, newspapers or radio is passing judgment when they need to keep their nose out of the matter. Was the trade of five Taliban leaders for one United States soldier the right thing to do? Even the Republicans and Democrats have different opinions.

The media and politicians can have that issue, but leave the decision of whether Bergdahl is guilty of desertion or not up to the military authority. The military has its own harsh and strict set of rules that must be followed.

He volunteered for the job and made a commitment to serve for his country. Let the decision come from where it belongs and the media should quit trying to make the decisions for the military.
