What a bargain on a tax bill

If Conan O'Brien's $700,000 house were in Illinois, $8,000 for delinquent property taxes would be a bargain.

A property next to the Fairview Hills Subdivision valued at $1 million has an annual tax bill about $24,000. I own a building lot of just 1.7 acres with a delinquent tax bill of $4,000. For that I should have a property that is at least half the value of Conan's property. In Illinois, though, the property tax industry is a criminal enterprise, so I guess that is to be expected.

Sign the Illinois property tax elimination petition. Reclaim the American Dream. Re-establish the middle class. Reduce the need for welfare.
