From immigration to Congress

Everyone has an opinion. Here are some of mine.

I don't have the answer to the immigration situation, but if you are not an American Indian, where did your parents, grandparents and great-grandparents come from? Some other country?

The deal with the Democrats and Republicans not doing anything is just crazy. The Republicans have had it in their heads, since the Democrats won the election, that they would block everything in Congress. They have succeeded, for sure.

The thinking is that if you are white with a job and you call yourself a Christian, that's the "A" route. But if you are a non-white, have no job and you can call yourself a Christian, you are a "B" route. That thinking is just not right. And I'm probably as racist as anybody.

I was born and raised Catholic, but I'm not a fanatic about it anymore thanks to the pedophiles and bishops who moved them around without their parishioners' knowledge. The bishops should all be sent to India to work with the poorest of the poor.

One last item on the abortion issue: Any intelligent person would understand that a woman who is pregnant is going to have a human baby and being a little bit pregnant is pregnant.

I believe that taking a human being is a very serious decision and should be considered only for serious medical (physical or mental) reasons. But I believe the woman has the final say; life is various shades of gray, not black and white.
