Suspect should stay locked up

As a proud animal activist who belongs to PETA, the Animal Legal Defense Fund, the ASPCA and the Humane Society of the United States, I read with complete outrage the recent Belleville News-Democrat article about a 43-year-old man, Terry Davis, charged with sexually molested a Rottweiler puppy.

I can't really express in words in this newspaper what I believe should be done to this person. To add insult to injury, a court-appointed psychologist concluded that Davis isn't sexually dangerous while another psychologist had yet to weigh in. Let's hope the other psychologist is a realist while this person awaits the court to decide if he is a sexually dangerous person. Are you kidding me?

To further sicken me, the innocent, helpless puppy had to be euthanized because she became aggressive.

What is wrong with this insane world that there is even a question as to whether this man is safe to be in society let alone be around animals?
