Give compliments when due

When we check out at a store, we are often given a website to which we can go and take a survey. We are enticed to take the survey by the promise of a coupon or discount, but the promised reward seldom entices us to complete the survey.

I would like to suggest a more important reason to complete a survey than receiving a coupon. There is usually a spot on the survey for you to recognize an employee who gave you excellent service. Many employees, especially the shy ones, never receive recognition on these surveys.

So, the next time you receive excellent service in a store, note the employee's name and leave a kind comment on the survey. You will make their day.
