Don't let workers' rights be lost

It took more than 100 years for the working class to get some rights. They had to work 12 to 14 hours a day, six and sometimes seven days a week. If they didn't, they were told, "Don't come back." If they were injured, there were hauled out the gate and told not to come back.

Finally, the people voted in representatives to Congress to put in place working rights and injury protections. The people formed unions to help with wages and working conditions. They finally were able to buy homes, take a vacation, have medical insurance and a retirement plan.

Now the Republicans in Congress and the five Republican Supreme Court judges keep killing the rights workers gained over the years. Please, people, listen to the real news, not Republican lies and the Tea Party.

If you don't pay attention and go vote, you will be back in the 1800s.
