Morality still means something

OK, Belleville News-Democrat, you started it. There is great interest and debate about the morality of same-sex marriage. You said this is "an important social issue." Other important social issues to discuss might include abortion, births out of wedlock, single parents, rise in number of STDs and sexual activity of very young children, etc., all of which contribute to the breakdown of the family and the nation.

The statistics are there if you look for them. Recently there was a Theology of the Body Congress to pass on St. John Paul the Great's teachings on the dignity of every human person. Over 700 people from all over the world attended because God's laws and scientific data does show that morality still means something today. Their conclusions would be a great place to start the debate.
