I want to give my condolence to the parents of Michael Brown's family for the loss of their son. I will admit that I am outraged as well. Let it be known that I am outraged for the 14 murders that have occurred in East St. Louis this year. I am outraged that over 100 murders have occurred in the city in the last five years with a population of 27,000. Very few families of those victims have yet to see justice for the murder of their loved one. How do you think the parents are feeling seeing that no one cared enough to rally for justice for their child murdered and left lying in the street? Very few if any have come forward to help bring justice and closure to those families.
How grand is it to know that we have such a tolerance with getting no justice for the black on black murders. If we as a community would show this type of outrage for the murders that happen in our community, most if not all would be solved and the murder rate would go down dramatically. Failure to become involved in your community, with the law, with your city government and your voting rights, will create a culture of intolerance and ignorance.
