Thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen of the Illinois state Senate who voted for the budget compromise – especially the ones who did not vote the party line. It is about time someone has the courage to use some common sense and not keep up the spending of money that is not there.
The majority in the state House and Senate are still complaining about the lose of the money that was given back to the people in this state from the now defunct income tax increase of former Gov. Pat Quinn and his cronies. This is our money. It is tough to make the cuts needed, but Gov. Bruce Rauner is taking the stand of fiscal responsibility, and I applaud his efforts.
For all those, Republican and Democrat, who supported this bill, thank you once again. As I have stated in previous letters, don’t blindly vote the party line, do the research and follow your gut.
