BND readers should be the first to know I don’t condone any metro-east politicians walking in wolf's clothing. But the rest of this letter may surprise readers because without these incumbents, the city would fall into more chaos and division.
Voting for Courtney Hoffman for East St. Louis mayor allows all family dynasties to move the city forward. LaToya Greenwood and Emeka Jackson-Hicks could sit on the City Council while Alvin Parks becomes the new economic development manager versus me, who gave those ideas to him. In this, Hoffman is the new face and the second family dynasties stabilize city operations.
I know it sounds crazy to use the old to change things in this city. But two to four years from now, residents will have more time to change things for good.
