Are you concerned with the world, state and local problems facing us today? The brutal killings, the riots, the political and business climate with so much infighting?
I do not always understand what the moral and correct solution is, but there is something I can do. I can pray for guidance.
Violence in return for violence just makes for more hatred and hard feelings and solves nothing. There must also be justice, forgiveness and responsibility.
There is a contemporary story of a bishop in Nigeria asking God how to combat the Boko Haram in his country. The bishop had a vision of Jesus handing him a sword. When the bishop went to take it, the sword turned into a rosary and indicated no more Boko Haram in their country when enough people prayed the rosary.
Why the rosary? Our Blessed Mother, Mary, was given to all of us by Jesus on the Cross, and she therefore cares for every one of his father’s creatures not just Catholics.
What the Blessed Virgin Mary said at apparitions in Fatima in 1917 about the world situation is certainly upon us, and one answer to changing our hearts to return to God’s way of living is through prayer. Obviously we have ignored her plea.
Why not investigate the rosary beads, which tell of the life of Jesus on earth in the 20 mysteries, and be inspired to examine your life to see if you are part of the problem or of the solution.
