Hey, Congress: The failing highway infrastructure is costing taxpayers in vehicle repairs. Here are some suggestions:
1) Eliminate the subsidies to the oil industry and divert that funding to the national highway infrastructure.
2) Double the 1997 national gas tax to 36 cents per gallon.
3) End the partisan bickering and start legislating for the benefit of the country.
We are frustrated with Congress’ loyalty to its political parties and not to its employer — which is us.
Either do your job and legislate to form a more perfect union or resign.
