A few weeks ago, the O’Fallon Progress had a front-page story about the loss of the 2015 Strange Folk Festival. How can the surrounding towns, many of them smaller than O’Fallon, still have a variety of festivals and homecomings?
We have lost the Fireman’s Picnic, Mayfest and Homecoming, but we have gained Pork with Passion (yawn), the existing Strange Folk Festival (a craft show, wow), and Salute to Scott (not invented until the Defense Base closures started).
The city can find money and time for some things, but not others.
Never miss a local story.
