A recent letter by Kevin J. Gagen harkened back to a more genteel time. He longs for the days when, if someone felt a personal offense, the offender would apologize, empathize and remedy the situation. In his telling, the offended was judge and jury, and the offender had no recourse.
Well, Gagen’s letters have offended many a conservative. In fact, the very one I referenced used terms like “crackpot,” “obnoxious” and “xenophobe.” Therefore, I respectfully request he immediately cease and desist writing letters to the BND editor.
