We now have an axis of evil in the NFL: Stan Korenke, Jerry Jones and Roger Goodell.
Kroenke, what a guy! Instead of keeping his mouth shut, he literally bashes St. Louis. Before the Rams moved to St. Louis, they had a clause put in the contract that by 2014 the dome in St. Louis would have to be upgraded to be in the top 25 percent of the league. When 2014 came, the Rams asked for $700 million in improvements. Kroenke knew the city couldn’t afford this, so all along the Rams knew they had a way out. Kroenke, a very wealthy and evil man, now has his wish. The LA Rams and an almost $2 billion stadium in southern California.
Jerry Jones led the way for the Rams to move. He’s another billionaire that can make things happen. All he and Kroenke care about is money, money and more money. I was so glad to see the Cowboy’s finish at 4-12.
Now we come to the biggest putz of all of them, Roger Goodell, who in my mind should be fired as commissioner. His tinkering with the rules of the NFL and his statement that St. Louis is inadequate for NFL football is another slap in the face.
That’s OK. That’s just fine, because according to the Bible, there is an old saying, “It is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle, than a rich man to get to heaven.”
