It has been a long time since I last sent in a letter and due to a few of your writers I would like to comment on a letter written by Forrest Hesterberg and others who make remarks that are very unreasonable. Why is it that they can voice their thoughts, but Glenn McCoy is always a racist or should not be able to give his opinion? I even read where someone thought they should have him resign.
I thought everyone in America have the right to free speech. Do some have the right to give their opinion, but Glenn is not allowed? Look around — that is our problem in this country, right up to our president. If you say something someone doesn’t like, then “racist” is the first thing you hear.
It amazes me how you want to bad-mouth one of the great young men I know. I’m his aunt, but even if I was not and I knew him, I would feel the same. To all you bad-mouthing people, wake up and smell the roses. Think of the good things in life, not the ugly. I have lived many years, but what a shame that people have come to this kind of behavior.
